postheadericon Martlet and WHOREFC2 share the points while the Academy squeeze past Katona

This Superleague double header saw a last-minute reshuffle of opponents as both the Academy and Katona were a pair down. So, despite these teams being in different conferences, they were pitched against each other, meaning that Will Skjott's WHOREFC2 took on Chris Vincent's Martlet.

As it turned out, WHOREFC2 (Harry Turnbull, Hugo Tobias, Sam Basu, Will Skjott) and Martlet (Chris Vincent, Jamie Adler, James Mason, Faisal Mir) were extremely closely matched, trading blows through the evening in some very tight games, resulting in a final match score of 3-3.

In the other match, Mike Millership and Rez Malik of Katona lost out against the Academy's Julian Black and Westway teenager Sam Matthews, the Academy side clinching the final set in a sudden-death nailbiter.

Conference A is looking extremely tight after the first couple of matches, and while the Studs have a slim advantage in Conference B, it is far to early to make any calls on who might fill the play-off spots.
