Phil Lyndon reports:

Aldenham Christmas 2011
Players at the Aldenham Heath Fives Club turned out in fancy dress last night (Tuesday 20 December) for an evening of fun and frolics.

From Father Christmas (Oli Lawton) to a monk (Bob Pace) to Harry Potter (Chris Austin), the full gamut of daft garb was on display.

Secretary Phillip Lyndon said: “We always hold this festive event on the last Tuesday before Christmas. The only stipulation is that whatever you wear, you must play in which can be quite awkward.”

Prizes are awarded to the best and worst dressed. Left hander Chris Austin won with his Harry Potter get-up which included a scar on his forehead while Jon Lindsay won the worst as he didn’t dress up at all.

Our thanks to Jim Fredenham who wasn’t up to playing on the night but did bring mulled wine and mince pies.
