postheadericon EFA League: Citizens clinch Division 3

The Old Citizens have claimed the Division 3 title in their first season back in the league after a 2-1 win over the Old Reptonians at Westway earlier this week. With 6 wins out of 6 and 13½ points in the bag they now have an unassailable lead at the top of the table. Captain Nick Gill was delighted with the result and with the team's efforts on the night and throughout the season; Nick  himself led the way at first pair, winning 3-0 in tandem with Alex Nice against the dangerous pairing of Mike Skjott and Robin Malacrida. Stephen Mullin and Mark Stockton lost at second pair but Rob Cooper and Paul Jefferys made short work of Sam Basu and Jonty Irving at third pair to finish off a great comeback season for the club.
