postheadericon Kinnaird Cup: Top seeds into the Final

Mark Williams reports:

Doug Foster and George Campbell started the first two games well against James Toop and Matt Wiseman, and tried to play forceful attacking fives throughout. However the latter's consistency and all round excellence with very few errors dominated the match, and they won comfortably in three straight games.

Tom Dunbar and Seb Cooley quickly established a lead in the first game against Richard Tyler and Dave Mew and went on to win the game comfortably. In the second, Richard and Dave's tenacious play took them to a 5-1 lead, but Tom and Seb then regained control which they never surrendered to win the second 12-7 and the third 12-2.

Semi-Final results:

J.Toop & M.Wiseman (1) beat G.Campbell & D.Foster (5) 3-0 (12-5, 12-4, 12-3)
T.Dunbar & S.Cooley (2) beat R.Tyler & D.Mew (3) 3-0 (12-3, 12-7, 12-2)
