postheadericon EFA League: Salopians and Carthusians share the spoils

The Salopians and Carthusians fought out a highly competitive Division 2 draw at Westway last night, with both teams pleased to add to their points tally and close in on their rivals in the bottom half of the Division 2 table. The Carthusians took first pair with Alex Burrows and Ian Clarke winning three close games against Marc Quinn and Peter Nichols. The match was squared at second pair with Julian Black and James Pollock taking out Carthusian skipper Ronald Pattison and Nick Higgins. Third pair produced the closest match of the night as the first four games were shared between Tom Lister and Ian Mitchell for the Salopians and Adrian Burrows and Adrian Love for the Carthusians. The 10pm Westway lights out deadline then intervened to leave the overall match score tied at one and a half points each.
