postheadericon EFA League: Menacing Millhillians make a move

A valiant effort by the Old Westminsters 2 on their home turf last night was not enough to prevent the impressive Millhillians recording their fifth consecutive Division 2 victory and closing the gap on leaders North Oxford. Giles Coren and Harry de Quetteville pushed Vishal Bhimjiyani and Sunil Tailor all the way at first pair, with the OM duo getting on top only in the fifth and final game of a seesaw encounter. Freddie Krespi and Nick Fry won the first game at second pair but went down 3-1 to Jitesh Patel and Jamie Adler and the third pair mirrored the first pair with both teams having spells in the ascendancy. In the end it was James Hutcheson and James Mason who claimed the fifth game 12-9 for a 3-2 win over Chris Watts and Edward Levy and a well-earned three points for the Millhillians.
