postheadericon EFA League: Westminsters win battle of second teams

The Westminsters 2 won the battle of the second teams at Westminster on Wednesday night with a 2-1 win over the Old Salopians 2 in Division 2. The Westminsters are playing most of their fixtures after Christmas with their first team having played more before the break, and it will be interesting to see how far up the table the OWs will make it by the end of the season. On Wednesday, Giles Coren and Harry de Quetteville beat Marc Quinn and Harry Turnbull 3-0 at first pair. New recruit Tom Lister looks like he's added something to the Salopian line-up, however, as he partnered James Pollock to a 3-1 second pair over Freddie Krespi and the dangerous Nick Fry. Unfortunately for the Salopians, that point was offset by their inability to produce a third pair, a failing that leaves them marooned at the bottom of the table.
