postheadericon EFA hit the Rutland trail

The annual EFA mini-tour of Rutland took place at the weekend of October 9th/10th, with all the usual elements present and correct - a motley crew of EFA representatives led by Martin Samuel and Mike Fenn and competitive but friendly matches at Oakham and Uppingham against various combinations of schoolboys, staff and Oakham Monday club members. Particularly impressive was the performance of Uppingham School first pair Tom Core and Tom Scowsill, who beat Old Edwardian Courtney Friend and Jon Staley of North Oxford 12-9, 13-12, 15-13 (click on the thumbnail to see the four players on court) to prove that Fives is very much alive and kicking in that neck of the woods.
